Common renovation activities on homes built before 1978 can create a health hazard to adults and children by disturbing lead-based paint. To protect against this risk, EPA issued a rule for contractors requiring the use of lead-safe practices aimed at preventing lead poisoning.

Being certified means that our staff will follow the new EPA guidelines (either test for lead paint or use lead-safe work practices) when working on all homes built before 1978. If your home was built before 1978, we can test for lead paint as part of our free estimate. If you do not have children under the age of six and there are no pregnant women residing at the home, you may be able to opt out. If you have children under the age of six, we'll perform lead-safe work practices on your home.
